Why don all buildings have shatterproof glass?

No thanks. I don’t fancy getting stuck in a burning building that has unbreakable windows. They’re a safety hazard. It is for this very reason that people often avoid adding shatterproof windows to their homes…even in Hurricane Alley. Edit: Wow, you sure put a lot of faith in modernday contraptions. Ever been stuck in a burning house and had your exit blocked by fire and burning debris? I doubt you have, or you wouldn’t have even dreamed of asking a question like this. My grandma was stuck in a burning house, but unfortunately, most folks don’t keep a fire extinguisher in every room and most homes do not have a sprinkler system or a fire escape (and it would be VERY costly to add these things to every home). If it wasn’t for the ability to break her window, she’d be dead. By the way, I would much rather get cut by broken glass than burn to death. As far as burglars are concerned…that’s what my shotgun is for. 🙂 I’m a woman going through menapause, and I’m just waiting for someone
