Why don all 1.6-gallon toilets flush at 1.6 gallons?
Sometimes manufacturers will use different components (e.g., different inserts, flappers, or baffles) when assembling toilets and this can change the flush volume. By measuring flush volumes in the field we are able to identify problems at the beginning of toilet replacement programs before it results in customer complaints or lost water savings.
