Why donate to Goodwill Southern California for fire relief?
The American Red Cross, not designed to accept individual donations of items for emergency relief, partners with other community agencies and organizations such as Goodwill to accommodate individuals requesting to donate material items. Goodwill has an excellent infrastructure for accepting donations. We have many locations including 55 stores and 40 attended donation centers throughout Los Angeles (north of Rosecrans Ave.), Riverside and San Bernardino counties. This infrastructure is equipped to accept and move a large number of donated items. It only made sense to utilize this system during this relief effort.
