Why doesnt yahoo have any african countries here. I mean it is a WHOLE CONTINENT?
Good point, I never even noticed. I think it’s a bit naive of people to say none of them can afford computers. There are plenty of rich and comfortably off people in the African continent, just not as many as in other continents. I can only assume Yahoo has done their research and only opened Answers to countries which will bring them enough revenue to be worth having. I very much doubt it’s because of ‘racism’ lol – firstly there are sites in Asian countries, and secondly they’re a business, I very much doubt they’ll be letting personal opinions conflict with decisions which could bring them money. I imagine Yahoo have established that they won’t get enough users in these countries to make it feasible for advertisers to pay money to advertise on the site. It may also be that none of the companies willing to advertise on the site (which is obviously where they get their money) have markets in Africa.
