Why doesn Veracross have a built-in scheduler?
There are two reasons for this. First, scheduling is inherently a very complicated process. There are many different ways to construct a schedule, and every school does things differently. Second, what we have heard is there is a very high level of dissatisfaction with the current software offerings. This leads us to believe that our probability of success in building our own scheduler that clients are happy with is lower than we would like. This doesn’t mean we won’t eventually build one, it just means we are currently focusing on initiatives that have a higher probability of success. Since scheduling is typically a once-per-year activity, it is feasible to do a one-time export from Veracross to the scheduling package of your choice, build the schedules, and them import them into Veracross. We currently have many clients who do this.
