Why doesn the statement apply internationally?
A. APS12 has been largely constructed around the Australian financial advisory industry, its current laws and standards and as such the applicability of the standard in its current form in other countries would be impractical. Overseas members already have to adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct. We encourage overseas practitioners to adopt these standards as they do reflect world best practice.
