Why doesn’t the school District purchase more portable buildings to handle enrollment growth?
The Board of Education supports the use of portable classrooms for temporary and short term enrollment fluctuations. However, with an estimated growth of 1000 additional students by 2016, this would necessitate 25 additional portable structures to the current 10. These structures are not physically suited to serve as permanent capacity solutions.
