Why doesn’t the Ronald McDonald House charge families for staying at the House?

0

The mission of the Ronald McDonald House is to provide a home away from home for children and their families while the child is treated for serious, often life-threatening illness, at San Diego hospitals. For nearly 30 years we have fulfilled that mission, without charging families, with the generous support of the community. This allows us to serve the most needy families. We do present each family with an exit letter which includes the value of their stay, and suggest that they share their experience with other family members, friends, and co-workers, in hope that this will generate good will donations to help defer the cost of their stay.
