Why doesn the Quicktime plug-in work?
There are four reasons why the Quicktime plugin may give an error (Note: #1 and #2 below only apply to the Windows operating system): • You need to make sure Quicktime is installed AFTER Java has been installed. • If you have updated Java since installing Quicktime, then Quicktime needs to be reinstalled. Often a system restart is necessary for this update to take effect. • In some activities Quicktime is being used to play a Flash movie/model. However, in the most recent release of Quicktime 7.3.1 or later, Apple has removed the ability for Quicktime to play Flash movies. We are working on a fix for this, but for now there should be a link that appears at the bottom of the plugin window, allowing you to play the Flash content in a web browser window. • You are running linux and the Quicktime plugin does not work for linux.
