Why doesn the Office of Institutional Research and Planning report individual data?

In all but a very few instances, it is against federal law to report individual student information or provide any data that can lead to an individual’s identity. Moreover, it is UW Tacoma policy that data provided by IRP meet all University guidelines governing the distribution of data and information. We take seriously our ethical obligation to protect the rights and privacy of our students, faculty and staff. These rules also apply to survey data.
