Why doesn’t the local church ask me to preach, teach a Bible class, etc.?
This question may come from an assumption that anyone from the U.S. is better qualified than a local person to minister to the church. That is seldom the case. Visitors should be prepared to worship with the local church in their manner and benefit from the ministry of the local people. Sometimes visitors are asked to give their testimonies or present a song. It is usually ineffective to have visitors preach or teach especially if translators are required.
