Why doesn’t the insurance I purchased cover “overhead” damage and “curbing” of the tires?
A.) Budget does not actually offer insurance to cover the vehicle. We offer what is known as a damage waiver. We are self-insured and pay for the damages up front and bill the renter afterwards. This waiver comes with some exclusions including “overhead” damage and “curbing” of the tires. These are high risk areas and Budget wants to ensure that our renters/drivers drive cautiously and are aware of their surroundings while operating our vehicles.
