Why doesn the government cut community college grant money to a decent amount?

Because the grants are FEDERAL grants, not state. The prices for community colleges differ state to state. My tuition is about $2000 a semester full-time, and my books next semester will be almost another grand. If the Gov’t cut funding to what you consider a “decent” amount, I would not have the opportunity to go to college. So, because you want to whine about working, I should be denied an education? You are pretty ignorant for an “educated” person to generalize all the “low income” students as not caring. I am considered “low income,” and have maintained a 4.0 for the entire length of my education, and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. I care! Don’t be so stupid and selfish. I work for living and have to take out student loans as well, and I don’t bit(h about it. I don’t know what you did to screw up so bad that you have such “high interest” rates, mine are pretty damed low. You need to pull your head of your *** and get a clue.
