Why doesn the elevator on the east wing work after 6pm?
The elevator is out of service after 6pm as a cost saving measure and for security reasons. When the elevator is in operation, materials can be checked out in the 1st floor elevator lobby by a library employee at the Help Desk in KL155 (The Lantern). When no employee is on duty after 6 pm, materials must be checked at at the Services Desk in KL255 and patrons must exit the Library via the west wing elevator.
