WHY DOESNT THE DOG BARK AT T-800 AT SALCEDA RANCH ?
This has been a highly debated issue among the fans. It is not a continuity error because the barking and whining of the dog was deliberately cut from the screenplay. The reason for that was not to confuse the audience. As far as the on-screen explanation: It’s been said that dogs can sense bad intentions, that’s why they often bark at drunks or people who are about to commit crimes. However, that’s due to the dog’s ability to hear the fastened heartbeat and adrenaline rush, so it’s unlikely that the same ‘sensing’ applies to T-800. However, the dog could deduct the intentions from the fact that all the people around T-800 were friendly with him, therefore he wasn’t creating any sense of danger or hostility.
