The ColorComp feature improves the color uniformity of the display by applying a factory measured correction to the display that reduces the luminance of any bright areas on the display screen so the overall luminance and color is uniform. Since it is not possible to reduce the luminance of pure black on the screen, ColorComp can not improve the uniformity of black.
