Why Doesn the Bible Mention Prehistoric Creatures?
Brett Palmer, © 2009 If you have a child, or if ever you were one yourself, then you understand the great appeal of dinosaurs, especially to the young. I remember being fascinated by a neighbor’s collection of plastic dinosaur models as a kid. I used to go over to his house to see them. Being only four at the time, he wouldn’t let me touch them. But I recall standing, staring at them, a buzz of electricity humming through my arms urging me to reach out and take one down from his bookshelf. I never did. I was a respectful little kid. My own son has the same fascination. In his generation, there are dinosaurs for every age. He has one that can turn from a Triceratops into a rocket-firing robot! And visits to the museum are never complete without at least three trips through the exhibit of these prehistoric beasts. Dinosaurs overwhelm popular culture.
