An OpenView map does not automatically recognize the APC SMART-UPS SNMP agent icon as an APC SMART-UPS device. OpenView NNM SE initially discovers the device as a square box with the name of the agent as a label. This icon can be changed to an APC SMART-UPS device by either selecting the Tools > APC > Discover All APC Agents menu option to select all APC SMART-UPS devices or by selecting Tools > APC > Poll for APC Agent(s) to designate specific nodes.
