Why doesnt the AMA explore alternative treatments?
The AMA is a private organization which began in 1847. It is not a scientific body nor is it a medical body. It is basically the physicians union, their political lobbying group, and their disciplinary board. Its objective is to protect the financial and other interests of its members and at the same time control them. So, if a doctor wants to make sure that he can keep his million dollar house and send his kids to Harvard, then he follows AMA protocol. Otherwise, he may find himself out of the union….and out of a job.
