Why doesn the aircraft fly as fast as advertised?
Few aircraft meet the advertised speeds because the builder doesnt ask how the plane must be fitted out to reach these speeds. This includes engine, prop, speed fairings, total weight with or without battery etc. In the case of the 601, only recently, have the speeds been achieved with any regularity using the 120 hp Jabaru 3300.
