Why doesn stomach acid kill tapeworms and other parasites?
Tapeworms live in your intestine. The reason stomach acid doesnt kill them is because ones that are eaten are eaten as EGGS, not worms. These eggs have thick shells that are resistant to your body’s reaction to them, as well as the hostile environment of your stomach. Also, parasites can get into you through various methods including burrowing through your skin as a juvenile, finding their way to your lungs, being coughed up and swallowed, some live in your blood, some in your tissues and never really see your stomach acid.
