Why doesn SpeakEasy support emailing recordings?
The iPhone SDK does not natively support emailing attachments. Others get around this by transferring your recordings to their own servers and emailing them from there. We do not like this approach because of the sacrifices that must be made to audio quality to make the file sizes managable and make this possible. Also, many users have privacy concerns related to sending their recordings to a third party to be emailed. We feel that the required sacrifices and user concerns make emailing recordings an undersirable solution to the problem of getting your recordings off your phone. SpeakEasy Connect provides a superior solution that is faster, more reliable, and does not have the limitations of email. That said, we know some users would like to email recordings.
