Why doesn’t NYSHealth fund core support or operating services?

0

NYSHealth’s grantmaking is very small relative to the size of the health system, representing less than 0.02% of total spending on public health and health care in New York State. If we opened our funding initiatives to core support or ongoing service support, we could have only a very small impact on the system. NYSHealth wants to fund opportunities where a modest investment of our funds can have a long-lasting, leveraged impact on the health system, or on health care and public health providers.
