Why doesn Nursys® have any or all of my license information?
Only licenses from Nursys® licensure participating boards of nursing are displayed in Nursys®. To view a list of Nursys® licensure participating boards of nursing please click on the Nursys® Licensure Participating Boards of Nursing link. If you are a newly licensed nurse, your information will be forwarded to Nursys® from your licensing board of nursing as they submit their licensure updates to Nursys®. Temporary licenses and Advanced Practice licenses are not in the Nursys® system and cannot be verified. Contact the nursing board from the state if verification is needed for temporary or Advanced Practice licenses. Make sure that you typed your name or license number correctly. If you have an older license, your license information is archived and will not be in Nursys®. You will have to request a missing record inquiry.
