Why doesn’t NS Power generate all the power from wind?

0

As you know the wind does not blow all the time and when it is blowing it is at various strengths. When there is no wind, or when there is not enough strength in the wind to make the turbine produce at full power, there would not be enough energy generated to service the load requirement. Wind as well will fluctuate substantially, thus the power generated by a wind turbine fluctuates and there has to be some type of consistent generation (like Hydro, Gas or Coal Generation) on the grid to compensate for these fluctuations.
