Why doesn’t Nestlé provide products that are Made in a NUT free facility, rather than just a PEANUT Free facility?

A. Nuts are not permitted in our peanut-free facility and this includes all nuts. Our no nut policy in our facility is strictly enforced, however since there are no commercially available tests for all nut proteins, we do not promise what we cannot ultimately measure or test. There are tests that we use regularly to test for peanut protein and this is therefore what we communicate to our consumers. At Nestlé we are focused on consumer safety and product quality and we will only make a claim on our products when we can confirm with testing that they are free of any stated allergen.
