Why doesn my SKY remote control operate my TV any more?
If the batteries have been removed and not replaced within about eight minutes, or you have recently bought a new sky remote control, the code for your TV will have been lost. By following these instructions, it should be possible to re-code your remote: 1) Find out the model number of your TV – this should be on the back of the set. 2) On SKY, press the INTERACTIVE button on the remote control 3) Next press button 5 4) Scroll across & down to ‘YOUR SKY REMOTE’ 5) Press SELECT 6) Highlight the initial letter of your TV brand, e.g. J for JVC 7) Press SELECT 8) Scroll to your brand of TV 9) Press SELECT. Move through the screens until you find your model number and note the code(s) Then: 1) Point the SKY remote away from your TV 2) Press the button marked TV 3) Press the RED and SELECT buttons together until the remote flashes twice 4) Enter the code for your TV 5) Press SELECT 6) Press the button marked SKY 7) Try operating the volume on the TV.
