Solution Beginning with the Quartus® II software version 8.0, Altera® does not issue physical software guards (USB / parallel T-guard or dongle). FIXEDPC licenses are now tied to a computer’s NIC (Network Interface Card) ID. For further information on Licensing options for the Quartus II Software refer to the Altera Licensing page.
