Why doesn my ipod Battery last long?
My ipod 16g does that too. I have noticed that if you have a lot of music, photos, movies or videos or anything else, the iPod starts to lose the battery a lot faster than usual. At first i thought something was wrong with mine too but then some of my friends told me what i have just told you. What i do now is while I sleep, i plug my iPod in and leave it charging over night. That way my iPod lasts a lot longer than not charging it at all. Glad to help you. If you have any more questions i would be glad to answer them.
Apple states it’s supposed to get 24 hours of music playback, but only 4 hours of video playback. If you are watching a lot of videos, that could be it. Also, just navigating around or using cover flow, things like that run down the battery also. You would only get near the 24 hours if you didn’t use shuffle and let it play without touching any buttons. As long as you are getting a charge, you are charging it correctly. It will have a green battery on the front when it is fully charged.
