Why doesn my Echolink work with my Linksys router?
Echolink will work with your Linksys router. There are two things you need to do and you can also find this information in the readme file that came with your Echolink download. You need to log into the router via your internet browser. Assuming you had left the router address as defaulted, 192.168.1.1 go to you browser and type http://192.168.1.1 . This should connect you to the web server that is built in to your Linksys router. Follow these two steps: [ Top ] • First you need to program your PC for a static IP address and not one that is automatically assigned by the router. You can use 192.168.1.100 as your static address. Hint: If you have more than 1 PC on your LAN then you can mix static IP addresses with DHCP addresses. • Now click on the Advanced Tab / Forwarding.
