Why doesn my bookmark for a marine forecast area on a web page work?
Many of our marine forecast areas can be split into two sub-areas in a forecast update. If you bookmark a particular marine area that has since become split into sub-areas and you return to the initial marine forecast area, the original bookmark will no longer work. The changed web address is a result of the “dynamic” division of the marine area into two areas for selection. Likewise, if the bookmark is applied to a sub-area which has since returned to a single marine area in a forecast update, the bookmarked address will not work properly on a return visit.
