Why doesn my Avatar/Gallery image upload in Safari on Mac OS X?

We have experienced some bugs with Safari’s handling of image uploads. If Safari ‘hangs’ or ‘freezes’ during an attempted upload, cancel the process (command + ‘.’) and try again. NB Upload time will vary depending on your image size and the speed of your internet connection. Only retry an upload when you are absolutely sure the process isn’t working. • My Avatar/Gallery image is the correct size and dimensions but still won’t upload. Check that your image’s filename has the correct file extension (i.e. ‘.jpg’), no special character (i.e. ‘é’, ‘ü’, etc), no extra punctuation (i.e. ‘/’, ‘,’, ‘!’, ‘#’, etc) and no spaces. You can use ‘_’ or ‘–’ instead of a space. • My Avatar/Gallery image is the correct size, dimensions and is correctly named but still, won’t upload Your image file may be corrupted. Try saving or re-exporting it again from your chosen image editing software.
