Some payee names include transaction information such as the date or amount of the transaction. Because this information is likely to be different for each transaction, the payee name isn’t recognized as one of your friendly payee names. Money can standardize the payee names by removing all the numbers and symbols from the payee name. In many cases, this standardization makes the payee names easier for Money to identify. To turn on standardization of payee names: • On the Tools menu, click Settings. • Click Online Services. • Select the Show standardized payee names for which a name match is not found check box.
