Why doesn Mac allow for two-sided printing?

Hi everybody, I was wondering whether anyone has found a way of printing two-sided. In fact, when it is just a two page document I can make it by just printing one page first, and then the other. The problem raises when the document is big and is composed of a lot of pages. My printer is a Canon MX330 Pixma and it supports two-sided printing on Windows, but apparently it doesn’t on a Mac. And I was wondering whether there exist a workaround (other than the one I have mentioned or using virtualization software/bootcamp) for that. Let’s just be more environment-friendly!
