Why doesnt IU Bloomington take payment by credit card?
IU Bloomington’s decision to stop taking credit cards was made reluctantly and after much discussion. The growing use of credit cards to pay student fees brought the consequence of great cost to the University. This cost was not an appropriate use of University funds. IU officials continue periodic discussions with credit card companies in an attempt to negotiate lower fees but we do not anticipate a change to this decision in the near future.
