Why doesn ITU grant loans or discounts on tuition?
Most individuals do not request a discount because ITU’s tuition is a small fraction the cost of tuition from most private and/or public institutions. Loans are not granted by the University because reliable students have excellent credit and may borrow from their banks, credit unions or take the tuition from their savings. Trustworthy individuals may borrow money from their family or friends. Credit worthy individuals may use credit cards at rates of about 10% (Capitol One Card 9.9%) to pay the tuition. Trustees have decided that if an individual is not credit worthy or trusted by their own credit sources, family and/or friends, ITU should not grant credit or trust them either.
