The key to keeping premiums as low as possible is to attract new members. While we are a not-for-profit insurer, we’re in a competitive environment and advertising plays a critical role in recruiting new members. The amount we spend on advertising for HBF health insurance for the whole year is barely the equivalent of the money we pay out in benefits in just a couple of days.
