Why doesn Google do Google maps street view on The Philippines?
If you had any idea how google street works, a van goes around town with a camera and relays the feed back to google’s servers. These vans need to be roaming around at adequate hwy speeds to provide continuously accurate information. Now imagine a world where manila had vehicles at adequate hwy speeds……. btw since there isn’t a strong enough market for smartphones and decent priced bundles in Philippines yet (ie not enough % of filipinos spend money on browsing the internet on their phones), there is a low demand for such services such as google streetview. Implementing such a system isn’t economical for Google unless more filipinos start using online google services on their smartphones.
