Why doesn Fluevog make more Vegan styles?
We are still having trouble finding tough reliable Vegan materials that are suitable for our footwear. Many other companies use vinyl and plastic materials, but we are trying our hardest to be able to provide a Vegan shoe that is eco-friendly. Most of the materials used in the industry for Vegan shoes are way more damaging to the world by its use of toxic and un-biodegradable material. So we are trying our best, and have been experimenting with hemp, canvas, and recycled natural fibers – but the problem is that these materials won’t last as everyday footwear. We are having a tough time finding a suitable substitute that is longlasting, durable, and weatherproof as leather. As soon as the industry brings out more options in Vegan materials that are solid and strong, I am sure you will see more styles from us.
