Why doesn Ealing Council collect cardboard drinks cartons/Tetra Pak?

0

Drinks cartons are different to cardboard as they are mixed materials – usually cardboard, foil and plastic fused together to preserve the contents. There is currently no plant in the UK where we can take these items to for recycling. Ealing Council has joined a scheme, run by Tetra Pak, whereby you may take your paper-based liquid food and drinks cartons for recycling to: Acton Re-use and Recycling Centre, Greenford Road Re-use and Recycling Centre and Southall Re-use and Recycling Centre, and neighbourhood reycling sites at Lidl supermarket, Uxbridge Road, Hanwell W7 3SU and Ealing Town Hall car park, Longfield Road, Ealing W5 2BY.
