Why doesn’t DERM translocate crocodiles of concern?
Crocodiles of concern are not translocated in the wild due to the risk of these crocodiles returning to their original capture location. Research involving the satellite tracking of estuarine crocodiles has shown that they can return to the place from which they were removed, and can cover considerable distances to do this.
