Why doesn Cherry Point have a Paintball Course?
Several year ago, Cherry Point had a Paintball Course. At first, it was used quite frequently. However, the usage decreased dramatically. A lot of money was invested in the supplies to operate the course which was used by just a few patrons. The decision was made to close the course due to the lack of participation. A recent entertainment survey was conducted in which paintball was at the top of the list of what the Marines & Sailors wanted aboard Cherry Point. MCCS is contracting & paying a vendor from Camp Lejeune to come to Cherry Point with all the supplies needed to participate in paintball. A 3 person tournament will be held in the athletic field adjacent to the Roadhouse on Saturday, 23 June. The number of participants at this event will determine if we need to offer a paintball course at Cherry Point.
