WHY DOESNT C-KERMIT REDIAL AUTOMATICALLY?

0

Automatic redialing is illegal in many countries, so C-Kermit does not do it by default. If you want Kermit to redial modem calls automatically when they are busy (etc), you can tell Kermit to SET DIAL RETRIES n, where n is a number specifying how many times the DIAL command is allowed to dial a number until it answers. Kermit also automatically enables redialing if it knows your country code (SET DIAL COUNTRY-CODE or the K_COUNTRYCODE environment variable) and if corresponds to a country where Kermit knows redialing is legal (e.g. country code 1 for the North American Numbering Plan).
