Why doesn braille look like print alphabets?
Before Louis Braille invented the raised dot method used today, raised print letters were used. They were found to be difficult and slow to read and books took up too much space. Braille invented a system based on six cells with raised dots arrranged in various ways within the cell. Thus the raised dots are not meant to look or feel like print letters.
