Why doesnt American people get British humor?
Some do some don’t. British humour is, as a rule, wittier and more subtle than American humour, so if you aren’t used to it you might not get it intelligence and background regardless. Person above me – no, but different countries have their own ‘styles’ of humour that the kids are brought up on and that most comedy shows and comedians from that country will follow. American humour is generally seen by the world as slapstick and fart jokes. British humour is seen as satirical and subtle. Every country has a style. For example, the height of German humour is a moose wearing sunglasses (from what I have seen anyway) but let’s face it – you just have to laugh at that!
