Why doesn 95 pontiac transport downshift properly?
This is usually a transmission failure. It is probably time for a rebuild. Take it to a good transmission shop and they can run the proper diagnostics on it. Maybe you will luck out and it is just some back or sticking shift solenoids or speed senor error. My mother-in-law had her 95 Windstar tranny rebuilt recently and cost about 1500 bucks. It was doing the same thing except hers would down shift fine just didnt want to upshift properly. Good luck.
