Why does zoloft lessen effects of drugs?

Hi Pat, I’m on 200mg of Zoloft per day. I’ve been on Zoloft now for nearly 10 years, and my mum and grandma are both on the SSRI. I realise Zoloft is sertraline, which is a type of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor to stop nerves that produce the serotonin from reuptaking it instead of sending it to the appropriate receptor or nerve or space around the nerve. Therefore, ecstasy and mdma does not have a great affect on me, and the effects of lsd are lessened. But doesn’t ecstasy and mdma cause the brain to increase its levels of serotonin, to produce that feeling of euphoria? therefore, why can’t I get the full effects of ecstasy and mdma like my friends? Also, more to the point, if i smoke methamphetmine or any type or amphetamine for that matter, will the Zoloft lessen the effects of those drugs?
