Why does World Vision have Child Sponsorship in some countries and not in others?
World Vision’s sponsorship program reaches out to children in need in developing countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Some countries that are further along in their development don’t require World Vision’s assistance. Life for poor children in the developing world can be very harsh. They lack the basics — food, water, clothing, and access to education — and, at times, children have no protection from being exploited or abused under weak laws or oppressive cultural traditions.
