Why does WolfVision not support the HD (High Definition) standard 1080i?

Because this standard requires an interlaced image while the Visualizer camera outputs a progressive scan image. The picture quality of progressive scan images is better. It would not make any sense to loose picture quality by converting a progressive scan image to an interlaced image, and afterwards the de-interlacer of the display unit converts this to a progressive scan image again. Instead of 1080i WolfVision supports the “Progressive Scan version” of this standard, which is called 1080p. Most high end display units can also use this standard. However with most display units the standard with the best compatibility is 720p, which WolfVision also supports.
