Why does WFU have an Office of Internal Audit (OIA) function ?
IA exists by charter from the Board of Trustees to assist University management and the Audit/Compliance Committees of the Board (Trustees and Directors) to fulfill their responsibilities. We are charged with reviewing the reliability and integrity of information; compliance with policies, plans, laws, and regulations, safeguarding of assets, and the economical and efficient use of resources. OIA is a part of the Compliance Office.
